Ryan Shrouder is the President of Cooperative Title Agency. As an attorney, his practice focuses primarily on civil litigation and real estate law.
Mr. Shrouder graduated from Florida State University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science. He attended Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law on scholarship where he graduated cum laude (with honors) with his Juris Doctor degree.
Mr. Shrouder is admitted to practice in the state of Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. His real estate clientele includes lenders, real estate investors, and real estate trade organizations.
Ryan and his wife, Dr. Samantha Shrouder, M.D., reside in Cooper City with their three children, Madison, Mason and Jackson.

STACY G. MAGER, ESQ.
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT / ATTORNEY
Stacy G. Mager has been practicing real estate law for nearly two decades. She received her juris doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law, graduating cum laude (with honors) in 2001. Her extensive experience as a real estate attorney includes having conducted thousands of residential and commercial closings. Stacy is licensed to practice law throughout the state of Florida.
Prior to law school, Stacy attended the University of Florida on a full tennis scholarship where she was a member of the 1992 NCAA Division 1 National Championship team. Later, Stacy transferred to Rollins College, where she was the NCAA Division II National Singles Champion.
While maintaining the number one ranking in the country, Stacy excelled academically, graduating Summa Cum Laude (with high honors) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and a minor in communications.
Stacy is passionate about helping others, especially children with developmental disabilities and is currently a member of the Board of Trustees for JAFCO Ability Center. She resides in Weston with her daughter and husband.

LARRY A. KARNS, ESQ.
Larry Karns graduated from Ohio State University in 1971, summa cum laude (with high honors), with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He continued on to attend Law School at Ohio State University, graduating Order of the Coif (top ten percent in his class) in 1974. As an attorney, he has been practicing for nearly 45 years, with extensive experience in commercial litigation. Larry is admitted to practice in the state of Florida, the Florida Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
Throughout his career, Larry has held various positions serving as City Attorney, Assistant City Attorney, City Prosecutor, Police Legal Advisor, Pension Board Chairman and Code Enforcement Legal Advisor for the cities of Lake Worth, Plantation and Wilton Manors.
Larry is well versed in contract litigation, real estate litigation, construction litigation, and municipal code enforcement violations. In his more-than-four decades of practice, he has substantial trial and appellate experience, and has handled appeals before nearly every state appellate court, the Florida Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

Manager / LICENSED TITLE AGENT
Marc Shomberg was born in Long Island, NY and raised in South Florida since the age of ten. Marc graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish. Marc has been in the title industry for the past 15 years. With a focus on sales and customer service he not only manages the office’s day-to-day operations, but has his own pipeline as well. His clientele is largely real estate investors and he is well regarded for his ability to communicate.

GIOVANNI V. BORGES, ESQ.
Giovanni Borges graduated from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s degree in legal studies, a certificate in public and professional writing and minor in business administration. Before attending law school, he spent three years working as a lead paralegal in charge of handling hundreds of cases dealing with real estate litigation and creditors’ rights. He then went on to graduate from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law where he was named to the Dean’s List for his academic achievement, received a book award for receiving the highest grade in his Interviewing and Counseling class and received the Pro Bono Honor Program Silver Award. While in law school full-time, Giovanni worked at Spink, Shrouder & Karns, P.A. as a law clerk and interned at the Guardian Ad Litem Program for the 17th Judicial Circuit. Giovanni’s practice focuses primarily on civil litigation, real estate law, estate planning and probate matters.
In his spare time, Giovanni actively volunteers with the Miami Dolphins Special Teams and Special Olympics Florida.

GARY “RICHARD” LAUFENBERG
LICENSED TITLE AGENT
Gary “Richard” Laufenberg was born and raised in South Florida. After High School, he graduated from Broward College with an associate degree in general studies before following in his father’s footsteps and entering the real estate industry. Richard has over a decade of experience in real estate and is a Florida licensed title agent. His clientele is largely real estate investors and he is well regarded for his ability to understand complex and draconian title matters.

GARY H. LAUFENBERG
Gary H. Laufenberg is a closer at Cooperative Title. He has been in the real estate industry since 1984 and the title insurance industry since 1992. Gary previously managed the largest privately-owned title company in the State of Florida, and he has extensive clientele throughout the South Florida area. Gary is often referred to as “one of the best closers in the industry,” which is attributed to his unrelenting customer service, unparalleled organizational skills, and his thoroughness. Outside of work, Gary is highly involved in the community, serves on several Association Boards, and has held multiple civic appointments, including Municipal Planning & Zoning Boards, Municipal Recreation Boards, and Optimist Sports Commissioner.
A graduate of Nova High School, and life long Broward resident, Gary currently resides in Cooper City with his wife.
Maria Romero is a closing coordinator with over a decade and a half of experience in the real estate industry. Originally from Connecticut, she attended Northeastern University before graduating from Western Connecticut State University. Maria is fluent in Spanish and handles every aspect of the closing process and views each transaction as unique and uses it as a learning experience. She is well regarded by her clientele for her organizational skills, attentiveness, and overall responsiveness to her clients’ needs. Maria is always eager and ready to help facilitate a smooth and efficient closing.

Lily Hueller is a closing coordinator at Cooperative Title. Originally from Puerto Rico, she graduated from the University of Puerto Rico with a bachelor’s degree in office management, and previously served in the U.S. Army Reserves. Lily and her husband, Captain Robert Hueller, USCG, reside in Davie with their two daughters, Sofia and Emilia.

Aaron Schneider is a closing coordinator at Cooperative Title assigned to our investor department. He processes files and provides customer support throughout the closing. A local, born and raised in South Florida, Aaron is passionate about helping others and has a long history of providing a customer service driven experience. Aaron graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management.

Chris Meadows manages and runs Cooperative Title’s post-closing department. She has been in the title insurance industry since 1992, has previously held a Florida Title Agent License, and managed her own title insurance agency. In Chris’s own words, she “accurately stacks mortgage loan files after closing for shipment to lenders, possesses the ability to use company equipment in assigned area (phones, copiers, fax, etc.), and is proficient in sarcasm.”
Chris resides in Pembroke Pines with her two (four-legged) children, Tooka and Tiki.
